It is with bittersweet tears streaming down my face...

that I proudly announce the Babst Memorial Scholarship ❤️ The recipient must attend a trade school to be eligible to receive the scholarship. Garrett was in the Laborers Union Local 242 and was working for Walsh on the new Marriott Hotel in Bellevue when he died. JT was in the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and was working for Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) when he died. Their dad Jim has worked in the trades his entire career and I have worked in the trades since 2005. I want to promote the trades and educate our graduates that college and the military are not their only options. They can go to work in the trades making really good money with great healthcare and retirement benefits.

I couldn’t be more proud to be doing this in honor of our boys. This is just SO incredibly heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. They will NEVER be forgotten💜💙. The Babst family would be honored if you’d consider making a donation and making this a HUGE success!!! Checks may be made payable to the Babst Memorial Scholarship and mailed to Judy Lutton, Auburn Community Scholarship Coordinator, 711 E Main St, Auburn 98002. Tax ID #914-6001640.

What an incredibly difficult journey our family has been on these past 3 years. I know without a doubt my boys are cheering me on. I can hear them saying “you can do this mom, you’re unstoppable”🌻🦋😇💙😇💜🦋🌻
